Topcroft is a village and civil parish in the county of Norfolk, situated within the South Norfolk district. It lies approximately 7 miles northwest of Bungay and 14 miles south of Norwich, with easy access to the B1527 road. The name of the village is thought to mean "Topi's small enclosed field," reflecting its early origins. According to the 2011 Census, the parish had a population of 265 residents. The village is characterised by its peaceful rural setting, traditional homes and a strong sense of local community. Topcroft also has a historic parish church, St. Margaret’s, featuring medieval architecture and a round tower. A notable resident is artist Hannah Giffard, known for creating the award-winning children’s animated series Pablo the Little Red Fox.
